Emails I Can't Send Tour Recap

If you haven't seen Sabrina Carpenter live - specifically on the emails i can't send tour - you are doing yourself a disservice. Normally, as someone who bases 90% of their personality on being a Sabrina Carpenter stan, I'd admit this write up is a little biased. However, I've dragged multiple people who likely wouldn't even call themselves a Sabrina fan (including my mom) to see this show and they have all left with rave reviews making the glowing recap I'm about to provide fact rather than opinion.

Now back to what we are here for - the actual review. Every night before Sabrina even steps foot on stage, the crowd goes absolutely feral to the 10 minute version of All Too Well. This Taylor Swift song is a ten minute marker to show time at every single Sabrina show and has yet to not hype up the crowd. When the song concludes, the warmed up crowd takes it up ten notches. Sabrina hits the Parisian, Moulin Rouge inspired stage complete with a bedazzled balcony, park bench, and larger than life light up heart shaped mirror to the title track of the album, emails i can't send. Sabrina serenades the sold out room with a voice like an angel all while simultaneously playing the piano. One important thing to note about Sabrina Carpenter is that she is always going to deliver it with the vocals. The girls mic is always on and turned all the way up. Now maybe you'd think because of the live singing, she'd have to cool it with dancing, but nope. Immediately following the ballad, the songstress goes into two upbeat tracks off the album Read Your Mind and Feather.

Sabrina works her way through the entire album (minus the deluxe edition track, Lonesome) keeping the crowds eyes locked on the star the entire time. Another thing that has to be noted about Sabrina is that she was born to be on stage. For such a petite woman, she sure does know how to command a stage. She keeps you captivated for the entire hour and half and puts on a show.

Throughout the show Sabrina takes the time to interact with the crowd in a personal yet humorous way by reading fan signs, sharing stories about the album making process, and even playing a game with a lucky member on the crowd each night. A staple in Sabrina's shows is the game she plays to decide the cover song she will be singing that night called unSABscribe. Sabrina chooses one fan in the crowd (tip: she usually makes a point to pick someone WITHOUT a sign) to divulge all the tea on their breakup or relationship. Sabrina devotes a good five minutes in the show to listening to the fans wild story and sharing some insight with the fan. After that, Sabrina tailors a song to the fans experience. Some stand out cover songs I've seen her do are Bust Your Windows, You're So Vain, and Hopelessly Devoted To You.

Another staple in Sabrina's show is Nonsense, specifically the outro she writes each night tailored to the city she's performing in. The crowd looks forward to seeing what kind of nonsensical three lines the songstress will come up with that night - which could be as random as "bzzz is a bee's noise" to as sexual as "do the boys have bigger D's in Detroit" or "if it's small that's super inconvenient".

Once Nonsense is done, Sabrina makes her way to the grand finale - because i liked a boy. In this moment, she takes the power back on the words she has wrongly been called by low life losers for the last few years like slut and homewrecker. During this moment, every single person in that room - no matter how shy or timid - is shouting at the top of their lungs "now I'm a homewrecker, I'm a slut" while heart balloons fall from the ceiling and confetti shoots out of cannons. In this last moment of the show, Sabrina takes the time to make every person in that room feel comfortable being whoever they are - even if it's a slut!
