MADISON ROSE PROVES SHE IS A STAR AT BROOKLYN SHOW

Madison Rose took the stage at Brooklyn Made in Bushwick on July 30th in a co-headlining show with fellow Brooklyn artist LEXXE. Madison graced the stage in a black pleather trench coat, sunglasses on and a Pamela Anderson in Barb Wire-esqe blonde hairstyle. During her opening song Dancin’ Til We Die, without missing a step or note, she lost the coat revealing a shiny silver leotard and matching knee high boots and gave the crowd everything she had for her forty-five minute set.

Madison performed to a packed Brooklyn venue and a front row made up of predominately queer men losing their mind to the showgirl on stage, singing along word for word to the tracks from the pop stars debut album TECHNICOLOR. Madison’s energy throughout the set was an 11 out of 10, and she made it nearly impossible for the entire crowd to not match her. She had everyone, including my introverted and painfully shy self, dancing and engaged in the crowd from the second she stepped on until her final bow. Madison’s energy was infectious, ensuring that everyone in that room was having the time of their lives as she radiated her star power.

Madison worked her way through most of her album - and then some - bringing something unique and special to capture the audiences attention to each number. She brought out a custom Madison Rose umbrella, added some color to her outfit with a fringe rainbow coat, and shouted into a bedazzled megaphone. Madison also made it clear to the crowd she has the voice to back up the performance. Not only was she going to captivate you with her stage presence, dancing, and costumes/props; but her voice could hold a candle to any of the greats in pop music. Madison jumped at every opportunity to have her own little Mariah moment (as I like to call it) and show off her impressive vocal abilities.

As if that wasn't enough, the pop star took opportunities throughout the show to connect with us about the power of pop music. She made it clear to the room that [her] pop music was a perfect outlet for being unapologetically yourself, accepting that, and finding freedom in it. She offered up little stories about the songs she performed, and took the time to remind each person in that room that they were enough.

Madison also used this showcase as a chance to bless the audience with her new (unreleased) single Girls, Girls, Girls. The song is a catchy pop track about love and admiration for, well, you guessed it - girls. After performing the soon to be hit, she reassured the audience it was coming soon and we could stop begging for it in her DMs. Aside from the new single and TECHNICOLOR album, Madison gave the crowd her personalized dance rendition of Cyndi Lauper’s True Colors, which she partnered with Spotify on in honor of the legends 70th birthday. This wasn’t Madison’s only cover of the night, she also did a mashup of Alice Deejay’s Better Off Alone with her original song Better Off for us 90s kids in the audience and a cover of Robyn’s Dancing On My Own.

Madison closed out the show with a personal favorite of mine and seemingly everyone in the crowds, Thunder. She worked her way through the song with as much energy as she started the show with and proved to every single person in that crowd that she is a star. If you haven't seen Madison Rose live, I can't stress this enough - you NEED to.
